Helen Tanubrata is an electronic music producer, audio engineer, composer, and performance artist who performs and releases music under the moniker 'helenoftroy'. She enjoys manipulating audio samples and creating hip-hop based art pieces that focus on soundscapes and stories.
She graduated with a PSD in Technology and Applied Composition from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2018, where she studied under video game composer Clint Bajakian. Performed in a MATMOS concert in 2018 her live-electronic piece, 'Sazae Oni' where she played musical saw to live narration. She was selected by SONY in 2017 to have her piece 'Desert Palace' recorded.
She also graduated with a B.A in Music Composition from the University of California, Santa Barbara, College of Creative Studies in June 2017. She studied under composers Jeremy Haladyna and Leslie Hogan, and directed and performed in the Lotte Lehmann Concert Hall using special effects and live musicians for her senior recital. Helped produce and composed for the CCS Musical 'Even Greater Britain'. She is well versed in new music, experimental forms, and started playing musical saw at this time.
